The 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Masters Championship will be held in Manchester but this year will be the last time, for the event will move to Los Angeles in the USA for 2017 and 2018.

The Paralympics games will be held 2 weeks after the Olympic games, in Rio. The Torch will make its appearance, and will look the same as the Olympic Torch closed, but when opened its soul will be revealed, for although there will be high points and low points in a Paralympic athlete, the emphasis will be based on courage, determination and achievement of the athletes.

OLYMPIC GAMES – 2016
The city of Rio de Janeiro will be hosting the Olympic games from the 5-21 August 2016, it will be amazing, for it has a rich and colourful history. There will be 10,500 athletes from all over the world competing, from 206 countries taking part in this remarkable sporting event.

The LONDON TRIATHLON
At the Excel Centre, the London Triathlon will be held there once again. There are three disciplines in the London Triathlon, they are swimming, cycling and running, you have to be very competent in each of them to take part.

The BT World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge 2015, is back, the athletes will be gracing our shores once more. Other nations taking part including Great Britain, are New Zealand, South Africa, Japan and France.

IPC Athletics World Championships
The 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar, will be one of the last major competitions ahead of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

NATIONAL PARALYMPIC DAY
The Liberty Festival 2014 is returning to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park it’s an outdoor event showcasing the talents of Deaf and disabled artists, a line up of street theatre, dance, live music, film, installations and children’s activities which will be held in the south of the park.

The festival is taking place as part of ‘The National Paralympic day’, and as we cheered on the GB Paralympics medallists at London 2012 Paralympic Games we’ll be doing it again, here at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2014.

LONDON TRIATHLON
Each year welcomes over 13,000 triathletes to participate in the London Triathlon starting from the Excel Centre at Custom House. There are three disciplines in the London Triathlon, they are swimming, cycling and running, you have to be very competent in each of them to take part. The elite competitors, will take on the triathlon challenge, on the same stage as people who might have only done it once or for the first time. Because this event attracts beginners, of all ages and abilities, which makes it even more special.

TOUR DE FRANCE

Bradley Wiggins made history becoming the first British winner of the Tour de France in 2012. This year Wiggins has been ruled out through injury but it will be led by 2012 runner-up Chris Froome.

The race begins on July 5 with a road stage from Leeds to Harrogate, while the peloton remains in Yorkshire the following day with a stage from York to Sheffield. The third and final British leg of the 2014 Tour will be between Cambridge and London on July 7, before the riders proceeds to France via Eurostar.

The Bupa London 10,000 Marathon

The Bupa London 10,000 is presented by the London Marathon. The BUPA London 10,000 will starts and finishes in St James’s Park and uses Green Park as its assembly area. The Race begins (and finishes) in The Mall and then follows a clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London. The Runners will be passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including buildings such as Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, Bank of England, Leadenhall Market, The Monument, Millennium Bridge, Tate Gallery, Cleopatra’s Needle, London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and finally Westminster Abbey.
