There are three disciplines in the London Triathlon, they are swimming, cycling and running, you have to be very competent in each of them to take part. The elite competitors, will take on the triathlon challenge, on the same stage as people who might have only done it once or for the first time. Because this event attracts beginners, of all ages and abilities, which makes it even more special.

TOUR DE FRANCE
Bradley Wiggins made history becoming the first British winner of the Tour de France in 2012. This year Wiggins has been ruled out through injury but it will be led by 2012 runner-up Chris Froome.
The race begins on July 5 with a road stage from Leeds to Harrogate, while the peloton remains in Yorkshire the following day with a stage from York to Sheffield. The third and final British leg of the 2014 Tour will be between Cambridge and London on July 7, before the riders proceeds to France via Eurostar.

The Bupa London 10,000 Marathon
The Bupa London 10,000 is presented by the London Marathon. The BUPA London 10,000 will starts and finishes in St James’s Park and uses Green Park as its assembly area. The Race begins (and finishes) in The Mall and then follows a clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London. The Runners will be passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including buildings such as Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, Bank of England, Leadenhall Market, The Monument, Millennium Bridge, Tate Gallery, Cleopatra’s Needle, London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and finally Westminster Abbey.
